Oh Hello, Sorento!

Kia Motors America recently unveiled a redesigned version of the popular Sorento CUV, and Kia Country of Charleston finally got our hands on the 2014′s! With more than 80% of the 2014 Sorento new or redesigned, we were eager to check out this new gem on our lot!

“With each new vehicle launch Kia is advancing the concept of value to new levels of sophistication and with significant chassis, suspension, powertrain and comfort and convenience upgrades the new Sorento continues that trend,” said Michael Sprague, executive vice president, marketing and communications, KMA. “With more than 80 percent of the 2014 Sorento including new or significantly redesigned parts, it’s obvious that the improvements are not just skin deep; including technological enhancements such as UVO eServices, the next generation of our voice activated telematics system, and Kia’s first-ever blind spot detection system.”

In an effort to make the 2014 more sophisticated, this CUV was redesigned inside and out!  The redesigned front and rear fascias create a lower, broader appearance up front and a wider stance in the back.  Some other noticeably different improvements are the horizontally positioned rear LED lamps, and the option of larger 19-inch wheels.

On the inside, buttons have been rearranged for a more user-friendly experience and to make room for Kia’s new larger touch screen.  Spanning 8-inches, the screen provides navigation, SiruisXM Traffic with real-time road information updates, a premium Infinity audio system, Sirius XM Satellite Radio, Bluetooth, and UVO eServices voice-activated telematics system.  A redesigned panoramic sunroof and integrated 2nd row sunshades, programmable power liftgate, and illuminated door handle pockets are all  new features that add to the sophistication factor!!

With the success of the Optima SX Limited edition, it only made sense for Kia to offer a 2014 Sorento SX Limited Edition.

On the outside, self-leveling Xenon HID head lights, exclusive 19-inch chrome wheels, sporty red brake calipers, and SXL badges adorn the vehicle. On the inside, luxurious Nappa leather trimmed seats, a wood-trimmed, heated steering wheel, and heated rear seats make this version more unique!!

With all of the new improvements on the 2014 Sorento, Kia is expected to break into the luxury sedan market this year. If you want to join in on the fun, stop by Kia Country of Charleston today and check out the new addition to our family!
