Women’s World Car of the Year

The Kia Niro has been named the 2023 Women’s World Car of the Year (WWCOTY). The car earned “Urban Car of the Year” from WWCOTY earlier this year. At the event, the panel recognized the Niro as the “Supreme Winner”.

The Niro beat out five other category winners and impressed the judges with its state-of-the-art electrified powertrain options. The Niro crossover SUV is the only vehicle on the market available with three different electrified propulsion options. The Niro is available as a hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and EV.

“We are honored to be recognized by the journalists who make up the Women’s World Car of the Year Awards association,” COO and EVP of Kia America, Steven Center said. “The Niro offers the total package for car shoppers looking for a vehicle with its attractive styling, practical interior, desirable technology, and incredible value.”

The Women’s World Car of the Year was created in 2009 by automotive journalist Sandy Myhre and is comprised exclusively of women. The winner was determined by testing and evaluating 59 vehicles. They used factors that potential buyers consider when making a vehicle purchase. Some of those factors are:

• Safety
• Quality
• Value
• Design
• Performance
• Environmental impact
