Benefits of Service Action Updates
There many benefits to having your car serviced at a Kia dealership; but one of the most important is Service Action updates. Kia issues product updates much in the same way you receive updates for your phone, computer and other electronics. As vehicles have integrated more complex technology each year, we are seeing an increased number of Service Actions.
Service Actions are not publicized; we provide them only to customers who bring their cars to be serviced. Your vehicle may be eligible for several updates each year and these are provided at no charge to you. Independent mechanics and aftermarket shops do not have access to Service Actions issued by Kia.
Service Actions can involve any of your car’s electrical or mechanical systems or software and may improve the performance or longevity of your car. It demonstrates Kia’s commitment to continuous quality improvement. Our Assistant Service Managers will advise you of any available updates and obtain your consent prior to work being performed.
