Halloween Car Decorations

Halloween decorations have grown in recent years and that includes Halloween car decorations. Traditionally, Halloween meant a pumpkin or jack-o-lantern, maybe some mums, and maybe a spider web from an outlier. Now, Halloween décor can rival the most elaborate of Christmas decorations lighting up an entire property. In fact, last year Halloween represented nearly $32B in sales.

So, what’s the best way to decorate your car for Halloween? You can find lots of ideas on Pinterest and Amazon. Before you decide, will you be driving with your car decorated, or is it for a specific event like Trunk or Treat? If you plan to drive, make sure that decorations do not block your vision or the vision of another vehicle.

Pick a theme. Scary or cute? You can purchase holiday-themed magnets and decals, “feet” or “hands” that hang from a trunk or cover your vehicle in a “spider web”. Glow-in-the-dark items and lights really pop at night.

There is a shortage of Halloween décor this year because most items are manufactured in China. COVID-related shortages are still the norm. You may need to get creative and make sure your own. “Bloody” handprints, anyone?
