Holiday Gift Guide
It’s time for our annual holiday gift guide for drivers. There are so many things to choose from—things to personalize the vehicle, technology, gadgets, gear, and even personalized gifts for the driver or car owner. As car people, we err on the side of convenience. What do you really need in your car? Our team of experts recommends. There are so many options for each of these. We encourage you to research and make the best choice for you.
- Tire Pressure Gauge—Small pen tire gauges can be purchased for a few dollars. Save you money. Invest in a gauge that is performance-tested, certified & calibrated for accuracy within ANSI standards.
- First Aid Kit—you never know when you will need a bandage or other first aid supplies, but it’s nice to have them on hand when needed. You don’t need anything fancy, just the basics.
- Spare Tire Pump—It’s easy to forget about your spare tire–out of sight, out of mind. But there is nothing worse than needing your spare and finding that it too is flat. We recommend checking your spare periodically. Having a pump on hand is an affordable safety net.
- Flashlight—there are countless flashlights, look for a bright LED light, rechargeable and waterproof.
- Roadside Emergency Kit–A simple kit with the basics or everything but the kitchen sink kit? At a minimum, you want to look for a kit with jumper cables, gloves, rope, basic tools, a safety vest, and flares. And always keep a blanket and water in your car.
- Car Vacuum—Select a lightweight, handheld vac with a long-lasting Lithium-Ion battery. Great suction, bagless, and easy to empty and clean is essential.
- Car Wash—Keeping a car clean is an endless job. DIYers may appreciate a high-quality car cleaning kit. Others will prefer a gift card or subscription to a local car wash for routine maintenance. Or a gift certificate to have your car detailed is sure to be appreciated.
- All-Weather Floor Mats—Our perennial number one recommended accessory—keep your carpets clean and free from damage. Kia makes them custom for each model.
- LED Roadside Flares—This is a safety feature no one should be without. Bright flashing lights (even in daylight) will help others to see you if your vehicle is broken down or in an accident.
- Car Cup Holder Phone Mount—Look for a universal fit for any cup holder and an adjustable gooseneck so you can angle your phone as you like.
