How To: Care for Your Car in Warmer Weather

Warmer weather is here. Charleston Kia wants to make sure you’re prepared and your vehicle is operating at peak performance. Here are some tips that you can easily do to help maintain your car.

Check Tire Pressure

Top-Off Engine Fluids

Car fluids can thin or possibly evaporate in warmer temperatures. Be sure to top off your transmission fluid, power steering fluid, coolant, and windshield wiper fluid. Learn more here.

Test Your Brakes

Other than the obvious poor stopping/braking performance, you’ll want to make sure you don’t hear any squealing or growling sounds when testing your brakes. If you do experience these signs, it’s time to get an inspection performed to solve the problem. Always perform your brake tests in a safe environment without any cars around in case something goes wrong.
