The time has come again for Kia’s “Season of Giving Back.” For the second consecutive year, Kia America is supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with a donation for each new eligible Kia sold or leased in the U.S. The donation is part of Kia’s ongoing “Accelerate the Good” charitable effort, which includes ongoing support of St. Jude.

Kia America is promising a minimum donation of $1,500,00, which surpasses last year’s donation of $1.35 million. Last year’s contribution earned Kia the honor of being named the 2023 St. Jude New Corporate Partner of the Year.

Kia is running its “Season of Giving Back” to drive awareness about St. Jude and its commitment to families whose children are diagnosed with cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

“Kia is proud to once again partner with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to drive awareness of their all-important mission and provide funds to help children and their families receive the world-class care and support they deserve,” said Steven Center, COO and EVP of Kia America. “After 15 months of consecutive year-over-year sales growth, we anticipate a strong finish to 2023 and look forward to Kia making an even more sizable donation than we did last year. Kia is honored to be a small part of the impact St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital makes on the lives of people nationwide.”

“The partnership between Kia and St. Jude is rooted in creativity and compassion, and we’re once again grateful to Kia’s leadership, dealer network, and customers who hold this mission so dear, said Richard C. Shadac, Jr., President and CEO of ALSAC, the fundraising organization for St. Jude. “Thanks in part to partnerships rooted in purpose like this one, St. Jude is expanding our lifesaving mission globally to help ensure kids everywhere have the chance to celebrate every moment.”

Kia’s Accelerate the Good charitable initiative has been running since 2019 and has supported a number of causes. The effort has provided more than $22 million to those in need since it began. Other causes that the Accelerate the Good program has supported include fighting hunger and homelessness, relief for victims of natural disasters, aid for military families, and animal welfare organizations. Kia America has also provided aid to Sea Turtle rescue and preservation efforts.

Locally, Kia Country of Charleston has close ties with the Warrior Surf Foundation, an organization founded on Folly Beach that addresses post-service transition challenges through surf therapy, yoga, wellness coaching, and community.
