Kia Country of Charleston Honors U.S. Veterans
Kia Country of Charleston is proud to be a part of Kia’s dedication to honoring United States Veterans. Our dealership is a partner of the local veteran association Warrior Surf Foundation, and we also have a few military veterans on our staff working here with us every day.
Warrior Surf Foundation (WSF), founded on Folly Beach in 2015 addresses post-service transition challenges through surf therapy, yoga, wellness coaching, and community. Kia Country is proud to support WSF and its innovation program to help veterans. Our staff is given company time to volunteer for WSF, and we make use of our local media partnerships to increase awareness of the organization throughout Charleston.
Since partnering with WSF in 2020, Kia Country of Charleston has committed to making a donation for every Kia sold through our Military Appreciation Program. Through this program, Kia provides a $300 incentive to members of the U.S. military (Active Duty, honorably discharged from, retired from, or on disability with the United States (US) Armed Forces including Reservists) purchasing a car through the dealership. To celebrate Veterans Day this year, Kia Country of Charleston is doubling the discount for Veterans and active military to $600. This special incentive is available from now until November 20, 2023.
Kia America also recently launched a Veteran’s Technician Apprenticeship Program, which aims to provide military Veterans with the opportunity to become a Kia Qualified Technician. Highlights of the program include:
- One-year competency-based apprenticeship leading to Kia Service Technician certification
- Access to tools, equipment, vehicles, and training
- Potential for full-time employment with a participating Kia Retailer
- Includes Kia Technical training, support, and follow-up by program managers
- Eligible Veterans may apply for and receive a GI Bill Monthly Housing Allowance
Kia Country of Charleston recognizes and honors the lives and commitment of all U.S. Veterans; active, retired, or otherwise. Happy Veteran’s Day!
