Kia Models Score Three Best Cars for the Money Awards
Three Kia models came out on top in U.S. News & World Report’s annual Best Cars for the Money Awards.
- Kia Soul—Best Compact Car for the Money
- Kia Sorento—Best 3 Row SUV for the Money
- Kia Stinger—Bests Luxury Small Car for the Money
The awards are based on independent aggregate data and analysis. U.S. News examines both initial price and total cost of ownership, safety and reliability ratings and analyzes all independent automotive reviews to score vehicles and select segment winners. The final award selections are based on the best combination of quality and value.
In addition to the publication’s objective analysis, its editors made a few notable points about Kia winners.
Soul
“The Soul has stand-out, boxy styling that yields a roomy interior. Its long warranty helps keep your ownership costs low, and its available turbocharged engine will make your daily driving more lively”
Sorento
“The Kia Sorento’s starting price is low for a 3-row SUV, but that’s not the only factor that lead to it winning our Best 3-Row SUV for the Money award for the third year in a row. It also has low five-year ownerships costs and a strong showing in our Best Car Rankings. The Sorento features plenty of comfort and space in its first two rows, as well as excellent infotainment features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. For 2019, Kia updated the Sorento’s styling and added some advanced driver assistance systems. Those changes have not affected the Sorento’s balance of quality and value, which remain the best in its class.”
Stinger
“You may wonder how a Kia won the award for Best Luxury Small Car for the Money. After all, Kia tends to be known for long warranties and low prices, not luxury. Get behind the wheel of the Stinger, however, and you’ll see the brand is capable of so much more than dancing hamsters.” The Stinger isn’t Kia’s first luxury car (that would be the K900), but it is the first luxury car from Kia that can confidently play alongside the likes of the Audi A4 and BMW 3 Series. With excellent performance and a posh interior, the Stinger takes care of the driver’s need for speed and passengers’ need for comfort. A starting price and operating costs that are well below most others in the class are just the icing on the cake.”
Quality and value are central to Kia’s brand identity. Kia vehicles have more IIHS Top Safety Ratings than any other brand. Top off quality, value and safety with Kia’s industry leading 10-year/100,000-mile warranty and Kia is a value proposition that is difficult to beat.
Come in for test drive today and see for yourself why Kia has become one of the most respected and heralded automotive brands.
