ALL-NEW 2018 KIA STINGER NAMED TO WARDS 10 BEST ENGINES LIST

Kia Motors America’s (KMA) all-new 2018 Stinger has been named to Wards 10 Best Engines list. The performance-oriented GT trim’s 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 was selected among a field of 32 powertrains for its exceptional power delivery, responsiveness and refinement. The list focuses on engines that are new to the market or have been significantly improved over the previous year. WardsAuto editors conduct evaluations based on several criteria, including horsepower, torque, technology, observed fuel economy, relative competitiveness and noise characteristics. This is the 24th year of the competition.

2019 KIA SORENTO REFRESHED AND READY FOR LOS ANGELES AUTO SHOW

Kia Motors America (KMA) today unveiled the refreshed 2019 Sorento SUV at the Los Angeles International Auto Show. Refined, rugged and roomy, the Sorento remains as capable as ever but touts a number of visual and feature enhancements, inside and out. Aside from new front and rear fascias, which help achieve a more sophisticated appearance, the cabin is now decidedly more upscale and integrates newly-added technology, including Driver Attention Warning, Lane Keep Assist1, and QuantumLogic™ Surround Sound. In addition, the Sorento now pairs its available 3.3-liter V6 with a new 8-speed automatic transmission for an even smoother and more seamless driving experience.

2018 KIA RIO WINS HISPANIC MOTOR PRESS FOUNDATION AWARD

The all-new 2018 Kia Rio was named among the 10 Best vehicles for Hispanic families by the Hispanic Motor Press Foundation, taking top honors in the subcompact car category. The Rio’s outstanding combination of fuel efficiency, innovative technology, fun-to-drive character and value helped it win high marks from the Hispanic Motor Press judges.

2018 KIA SOUL AND SPORTAGE EARN HIGHEST POSSIBLE SAFETY RATING FROM THE INSURANCE INSTITUTE FOR HIGHWAY SAFETY

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has awarded its best rating possible, Top Safety Pick Plus (TSP+), to 2018 Kia Souls when equipped with high-intensity discharge (HID) headlights – offered on the Primo Lit package – and 2018 Kia Sportages built after June 2017 when equipped with newly acceptable-rated HID headlights that are standard on the SX Turbo trim.
