2025 K4

Kia’s newest addition to its stylish compact sedan lineup is the K4. Slotting in under the larger K5 family sedan, the K4 is arriving at Kia dealerships soon.

The K4 wears a fastback roofline that draws inspiration from the Stinger sports sedan and wide rear fenders that give the car a sporty stance. The K4 has a larger body and features more interior space than the Forte before it. Rear passengers have 38 inches of legroom available, in addition to best-in-class 37.3 inches of headroom.

Most K4 models feature a 147-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and front-wheel drive. Upgrades come in the form of a 190-hp turbo 1.6-liter engine, which is exclusive to the GT-LineTurbo trim. Also included in this trim is a multi-link rear suspension.

The interior of the K4 includes Kia’s well-known panoramic infotainment display on the dashboard. The screen combines two displays 12.3-inch displays into one continuous flat panel. Behind the steering wheel is the reconfigurable gauge cluster. Next to that is the display for navigation, radio, climate control, and more. A third, 5-inch display sits between these larger displays and provides climate control access as well. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on the K4, with SiriusXM radio available across the lineup. Drivers won’t be missing more traditional physical buttons below.

The interior can come outfitted in multiple colors including Medium Gray, Slate Green, and Onyx Black.

There is an excellent suite of safety features that come standard on all K4 models. Features include automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, and available adaptive cruise control with a lane-centering feature. Standard on every K4 is also a useful speed limit recognition feature.

For the exterior design, Kia describes the approach as using “twist logic”. This is said to “create a modern and unique body shape by twisting the connections of logically aligned squares in a seemingly illogical fashion.” It brings the luxurious design of the L-shaped headlights and taillights to what will be Kia’s most affordable vehicle in the United States. The front of the vehicle also gets Kia’s constellation lights and a sporty diffuser under the rear bumper.

While the K4 is arriving late this summer, Kia also teased another version of the vehicle on the horizon. Keep an eye out on Kia Country of Charleston feeds to find out more about the upcoming hatchback variant of the vehicle. We’ll share info as soon as it becomes available.
