The Sorento has received a visual refresh for its 2024 outing, and it comes with notable upgrades that not all car shoppers might know about. These upgrades span both the exterior and interior, so let’s run through the top features of the new design that make this an exciting iteration of one of Kia’s best vehicles.

Updated Grille and Taillights

The most obvious change to the 2024 Sorento model is the new body style. Differentiating it from the previous design is the upright grille, boxier hood and new sleek headlights that run across the front of the vehicle connecting to the grille. The vertically stacked LED projector headlights blend with sleek running lights to form a T shape.  Finally, the new taillight design takes after the Telluride, carrying the iconic Kia design into another popular model.

Dashboard and Infotainment Updates

On the interior, the biggest enhancement is the digital display that now expands across panoramic dual 12.3-inch displays. This system provides a digital blind spot view monitor that seamlessly blends with the dashboard utilities when the driver prepares to make a turn or lane shift. The cabin of the vehicle has also received updates in the form of a new horizontal air vent design among the new technology. Standard on all trims is USB-C ports throughout the cabin, as well as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

As far as driver assistance systems go, the 2024 Sorento comes with 10 features, including and upgraded Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist that now helps detect pedestrians, cyclists, and oncoming vehicles while turning left in intersections. Other available features include Smart Cruise Control-Machine Learning, which adapts to the driver’s driving style, and Highway Driving Assist 2, which even assists in lane changes. There’s also a Digital Camera Mirror and Surround-View Monitor with a 360-degree view.

New X-Pro and X-Line Trims
The 2024 line of Sorento comes in five primary trim levels: LX, S, EX, SX, and SX-Prestige. New to the Sorento with this iteration is the X-Pro and X-Line packages, which are available on the SX and SX-Prestige lines as available upgrades. Buyers who opt for an X-Pro version of the SX-Prestige Line get access to all-terrain tires, increased 4,500 lb. towing capacity, and X-Pro embossed front seat headrests. The X-Pro also comes with exclusive matte black finish wheels.

The X-Line trims get a few added bonuses as well. This includes high-utility roof rails, torque-vectoring AWD. This version also comes packed with 20-inch X-Line Alloy Wheels with a gloss-black finish. Additionally, the X-Line of the SX Prestige gets a full display mirror with homelink and a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system throughout the cabin.
