2022 Kia Stinger vs. 2022 Genesis G70

If you’re looking for a luxury sports sedan, the 2022 Kia Stinger and 2022 Genesis G70 are worth your consideration. While they may not have the badge recognition of their German competitors, they are both excellent sports sedans.

The Stinger and the Genesis G70 actually have a lot in common, but they also have differences worth noting.

The 2022 Stinger offers a more powerful base engine and more cargo space than the Genesis. The fastback design is sharp and, in our opinion a better-looking car. A Harmon Kardon audio system with surround sound is of the highest quality. The Stinger features more standard Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). All three trim levels GT, GT1 and GT2 received a power upgrade this year and the GT2 is available in a Scorpion Special Edition.  Optional AWD drive rounds out the main features.

The 2022 Genesis G70 has it sights set on its German rivals. A new grille, taillights and luxurious interior take them one step closer. The Genesis features Brembo brakes, optional AWD and a suite of owner amenities. Complimentary scheduled maintenance for 3- years/ 36K miles, Connected Services and lifetime traffic data are standard.

Both the 2022 Kia Stinger and the Genesis G70 are fun-to-drive sports sedans that will put a smile on your face when you are behind the wheel. The differences are not significant and may boil down to personal preference. The starting price for the Genesis is over 2K more and may also factor in a decision.
